Best Coffee In SF?
Well, I’ve never actually tried it. But supposedly the finest coffee in San Francisco is at the Blue Bottle Coffee Company, whose line of eager coffee drinkers is the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning and look out the window. Too posh for its own good, I think.

For my GF’s vote, it would be Fayes Video in the Mission, between Guerrero and Dolores on 18th - the 18th Street Corridor. Good stuff, and great staff.

According to Ojan and confirmed and verified by me and Chris, the best coffee I’ve had anywhere is Phil’z Coffee on 24th and Folsom. He hand grinds beans to order for your cup, checks the water temperature, and brews your cup by hand. And he’s a pretty theatrical guy so you can ask him anything about coffee and he’ll explain with flair.
